Rules of feeding EasyHard

1

Clean, fresh water must be available at all times

  • 60-70% of a horse’s bodyweight is water and it is needed to lubricate joints, transport nutrients around the body and is the main constituent of saliva and digestive juices.
  • Horses can drink between 27 and 52 litres or 6-11 gallons of water a day and may need more in hot weather - this could be up to 4 black buckets per day!
  • In winter, horses' tend to drink less and are fed dry forages such as hay; adding soaked feeds to the ration such as Dengie Alfa-Beet will help to increase the horse’s water intake.
